    Hi,

I want to be able to play and edit DVDs on my PC which I burned on my Panasonic DMR-E30. Unfortunately my Pioneer 16x drive rejects them, telling me it doesn't recognise the format I've tried 3 discs (all finalised) with the same result each time.

Does anyone know which DVD-ROM drives will play DVD-Rs burned on the E30? I'd consider DVD-ROM, DVD-R or DVD-RAM drives.

    Thanks,
    Paul

  2. if u want to edit DVDs then you want a DVD writer for your computer.

get a pioneer A04 or A05 that would read DVD.

(I have the A04 older unit)

Then you can edit all you want on the computer

and burn back a new edited copy.

    I would suggest using a DVD-RAM drive.

    panasonic LF-D 211, 310, or 321. Though I think the 211 is read only!

    Thanks for the help.

I actually solved the problem by flashing the latest firmware (v1.22) to my Pioneer drive. It now reads the discs fine.
