  1. hi,i just recently burned an mpeg file to vcd.the thing is im not sure
if it was vcd or svcd the original file is deleted already.now when i browse the cd and open the[AVSEQ01.MPG] file with windvd i get
the message[file number 1 has invalid format] and it wont play.
hoping maybe someone has a solution for this.

    thanks in advance

In TMPGEnc, select File-->New Project. Load the video into the main program window as input video. At the bottom, it will say what kind of file it is.

  4. Well, where did you get the mpeg from? It sounds to me like you haven't actually encoded it into a VCD or SVCD mpeg for a start...

If the file is a .mpg then you made an SVCD as VCD's are .dat
Install a DVD program like Power DVD 4, to play SVCD's

To load a Mpeg 2 (SVCD) into TMPGEnc you need one of three filters, Power DVD 4 provides one type, although the new TMPGENc + 2.59 works better with the Ligos Mpeg 2 filter

Search KaZaA for "LSX MPEG Encoder Suite 2.0"
