I have been converting avi files to vcd, svcd and simaler, for some time now, and pretty much with success.

There is one thing that I have not yet figured out. How can I prevent these pixels from messing up my movies? Does it have something to do with bitrates or something?

    Or what?

If there is a solution, can you please let me know what it is?

thanks in advance to all that respond!

    Peace,

yeah it has to do with the bitrate. does the avi also have those blocks? if so, then theres nothing you can do. if not, the way to get rid of them is to raise the bitrate a little higher. or maybe its your resolution maybe a little too high for the bitrate if you're doing xvcd/xsvcd.
