Which process is likely to give me the best end result of getting my home videos (analog) onto a DVD?
1. Using Canopus ADVC-50, edit with Ulead VS6, convert with TMPGenc
or
2.Capturing with a hardware MPEG2 encoder (Happague PVR), edit with VS6 then burn to DVD.
Is the quality going to be that much better using TMPGenc or will I get just as good results skipping the encoding step and capturin straight to MPEG. Tried capturing straight to MPEG with ATI All in Wonder but did not like the quality.
