  1. Could someone tell me what format a dvl is? Is it the same as xvid? If so, do you use the same method converting a dvl to vcd as xvid to vcd?
    Thanks.

I don't know what dvl stands for but I have a couple of files with dvl in the filename and when I open them in virtualdub and go to file information it staes they are xvid mpeg 4. The method I use for converting is the same for all files whatever the format, just make sure you have all the codecs. If you have a file with unknown codec get GSpot and open avi with it, it will tell you what codec is used and whether u have it installed

  3. DVL is not a format, it is a movie release group, like smr, tmd centropy etc.
