  1. Recently i downloaded a couple of divx avi files from the internet.When I opened the file it has no sound but the picture is at perfect quality.I figured maybe it was an error in that particullar file so i downloaded other divx avi files.
    The same old problem occured again!Motion picture good but no sound!!All of my other freinds got 2 hear the sound from their own pcs but not me.
    I currently have DivX Codec 4.11,'the playa' which comes with the divx codec,and wmp 7.1

    can any1 help?

    You probably lack the right audio codec. DivX is the video codec, so that's fine, but the audio is encoded according to some other method that it's likely that your computer doesn't have a decoder for.
    Try the Nimo codec pack (if you run XP it's a good idea to make a restore point before...) and remove all spyware after install.

    Don't install codec packs... test your system and find out what you have missing, then just install that.
