Both drives look nearly the same, and have had good reviews. Aopen is $30 cheaper. Not looking at the Sony anymore because I think the -R/W format is going to fail, and I don't want to spend the extra for support of a dead format. Plus it has slow read speeds.
So which of these 2 would you choose? Thanks!

Decided to go with the AOpen. You guys have been invaluable. No really.
