  1. Hi,

I burnt different DVD-R, all are playing on my PS2 but not on my standalone player (Thomson DTH4200) which is normally compatible with DVD-R.

Any idea where this problem comes from ?

    Thx for your help

  3. rottabe,

When you pose a question like this. You need to include more info. How are you authoring the DVD and how are you burning it for starters.

I had the same problem with my standalone Pioneer DV-454. I burnt with Nero and also tried Gear with no success. Then I tried VOB Instant CD/DVD and checked "long filenames" and it plays on my standalone (if I uncheck "long filenames" it won't play).

  5. I'm 99% sure you tried Nero Burning Rom to burn those DVD-R's. I got the same problem. DVD-R's played on my PS2 but not on my standalone. Burned with other prog and all went fine and played on both PS2 and standalone, pretty weird tho, but Nero is the prob

    (PS2 modded with NEO4, v3, PAL)

  6. NYPlayer > sorry about this. I am quite new in this domain. Indeed, I used Nero to burn the DVD.

I will try other software as soon as I have blank media (quite expansive in France so....)

At first, I thought it came from ifoedit, when I click "get VTS sectors" from the main movie ifo file. Is it possible even if it works perfectly when I preview the movie on my PC ?

Also, I wanted to thank you all for your quick answers !
