  1. I'm using Nero 5.5.8 to burn VCD's. Lately, I started d/l DVD rips and burning them as VCDs. The original file is viewed as widescreen, but when I watched the VCD, the movie isn't widescreen - it has been fitted to full screen - making everything stretched.

How did this happen/how can I burn it as widescreen? (As it originally is?)

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

  5. Thanks for the reply, but I don't use tmpgenc. I just use nero and burn them as .avi

    Could this be the problem?

I agree, Nero is a terrible encoder.

Yes, I would suggest using TMPGEnc to encode. Also, convert your .avi to MPEG before you burn with Nero.
