  3. I have never seen such a guide. Logo's are a bit of a sore point
for most in the vcd/dv community and when I wanted to add one to
a wedding video (pre- premier/adobe aftereffects days) I found
    the following:-

A popular way has been to use a logo filter by Donald Graft
with Virtual Dub. There is a slight learning curve but it is
not too diffcult. Search on the net for a copy of Virtual dub and
a copy of Donald Graft's logo filter. Extract and copy the logo filter
files to Virtual Dub's plugin's folder. You can now open an avi video, add filter and then full stream process direct to an avi file or frameserve to your favourite encoder. For details on how to use
Virtual Dub see guides on left hand side.

  4. Logo filter by Donald Graft:

    http://shelob.mordor.net/dgraft/logo.html

    Virtual Dub itself:

    http://www.virtualdub.org/

When you unzip the contents of logo filter zip to Virtual Dub Directory there will be a *.txt file called Logo, read it - it's pretty straight forward. I made my logos in no time (although i've only tried on AVI before encoding with TMPGEnc to Mpeg1/2).

  6. Ok I need to add my logo to a movie only for like a minute or so..but I when I save as AVI it tends to go through the whole file and takes like 4 hours...why is that..is there anyway for Virtual Dub to just put the logo on that area of the file and not scan the entire file for no reason...anyway

You can do it by using V-dub to cut your video into 2 parts. The short part where you want your logo and the rest where you don't. Process the first part with the logo filter and save it, then use V-dub to rejoin the two parts. See the guides for cutting and joining using V-dub.
