  1. I am trying to burn a MPEG2 on to a VCD using the header trick. My VCD plays OK on my PC, but when I put it in my standalone player (Harmon Kardon DVD 50 - supports VCD 1.1 & 2.0) The video is a bit jerky and there is a distinct buzzing noise (so noticable that the VCD's actual audio cannot be heard clearly).

My DVD player does not supprt SVCD, so I was encouraged when the VCD I made loaded and was able to be read. Any suggestions how I can make this work.

I used TMPG to multiplex the MPEG2 and VCDEasy to make the VCD.

    Thanks.

  2. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm pretty new to this whole thing. This is only my second time making a VCD.

Is this something that can even be corrected, or is it just likely that my standalone player is not "trickable"? I have tried over and over (using a CDRW) and have tried changing evrey possible setting I can find in VCDEAsy, but still get the same problem.

I coverted the MPEG2 to an MPEG1 (using DVD2AVI and TMPG) and that plays OK, but as you all know the quality just isn't there.

  3. Perhaps your bitrate is too high?

I haev the Mintek-2110 and while it technically supports SVCD (it even has a led that says (S)VCD where the S activates if I insert one)

but it plays them horribly and using the trick I can get it to work

But I can't play anything higher than a 2000 bitrate or else it gets jerky and choppy
