  1. Is there a way to convert m2v files into m2p? I have some music video in m2v format that play great with WinDVD, but when i burn them to SVCD I get no sound. M2p files burn successfully and look and sound great on my TV!

.m2v is for MPEG-2 video and .mp2 is for audio.

Have you tried "De-multiplexing" your file with TMPGEnc?

  7. Yes...I tried that and it works, BUT the picture quality was seriously degraded.[/quote]

  8. De-muxing a file should have no effect on the quality of the video or audio.

I agree with furball6969 that multi-plexing or de-multiplexing has no effect on the quality.

  10. Ok...so after i de-mulitplex the file, I'll get a video and an audio file. I'm not sure what to do next.
Sorry for being so dense...I'm a total newbie here.

  11. there maybe an easier solution for you to try and only takes a second. Try to change the extension on the file first, see if it works now. I've done that with some files when tmpeng could not read them, and after the extension change, it worked.
