  1. Hi...

I'm a complete newbie at DVD ripping, de/encoding. I read a lot of the tutorials and guides.

So anyway, i use DVD Decryptor 3 to get the files of the DVD, then i tried to use DVDx 2.0 to convert them to Divx, well when it goes it starts counting up the MB's and so on, then after about 28 minutes, it stops decoding? I tried this 3 times, and always the same result, the part that i do have plays great, but its only 20 minutes long, the movie is 73 minutes long.

    Thanx for any help...

  2. DVDx has a habit of occasionally limiting the number of frames processed. In the output settings, there is a Maximum Number of Frames setting. If you click Whole Movie it will set the frames more accurately.

However, I still find that it sometimes shortchanges the last couple minutes of the movie so I add 10% to the number.

It won't add extra frames to the video if the number you set is much longer than the actual movie, but if it's shorter than the actual movie it will stop when it reaches that frame!

  3. I'm running into the same problem and when I tried jacking up the max frame field, it gives me an "audio" error and the result is audio that is totally out of sync with the video.

I also have that problem with DVDx as well; audio is slightly (a few seconds or less) off with the video.

    Ideas?

    thx in advance.
