I've got a home dvd pla yer(SONY DVP NS400P) that only supports dvd, vcd and cd playback only. I have tried the vcd-header trick and it works.
Now, I would like to know if I am doing the correct process of converting dvd to svcd but with modified vcd header trick. I am asking because I feel like I am doing a very long process. There might be a shortcut. Please advise.
Here are my steps:
1. Rip DVD with Smartripper
2. Convert .VOB to .D2V with DVD2AVI
3. Convert .DV2 to MPEG2 using TMPGENC (SVCD NTSC Film in Wizard)
4. Multiplex MPEG2 with VCD non-standard to create an MPEG1 header but still with MPEG2 data using TMPGENC in Mpeg Tools.
5. Burn mpeg file with VCDEasy
Thanks again.
Neil
