I have just started to experiment with encoding at automatic vbr cq with TMPGEnc. I am happy with result but have alot of trouble trying to split the file to fit on 2 cds. TMPGEnc works OK with standard vcd but there is a bit of a audio sync problem and with any xvcd it locks up every time i try to split the file. I now use vcd cutter to do the splitting it works great with standard vcd's but with vbr mpgs there is always a time error. For example I mark in and out exactly where i want the file to split eg. 70 mins. but the resulting mpg is split at 68 minutes and the error is different for each movie. With a lot of calculating and generating clips with bad timing the error for individual movies can usually be calculated but its a big hassle. Can anyone please help me fix the problem or recommend a freeware or cheap (less than $100) program that will eliminate the problem.
