Has anyone used DVD2DVDR to successfully backup Minority Report? I have read a bunch of different threads on how Minority Report has some type of seamless branching, and causes problems. But most of the threads I have read have different people using different methods of backing up DVD'S. I like using DVD2DVDR, even though it uses IFOEdit for authoring which has some known bugs with NTSC films. It's also an extra hour or so if I want to keep subtitles. As I have to run 2 pulldown's on each movie backed up. Either way, I like DVD2DVDR and think it's a great tool!
My question though is has ANYONE backed up Minority Report using DVD2DVDR? If so, does it play flawlessly, or are their any known issues such as the ones other people have complained about? Thanks in advance for any info to help on this matter. If I can't use DVD2DVDR for the NTSC version of Minority Report, then I will have to use one of the other guides and do it another way, but I am hoping I can use DVD2DVDR.
One other thing joepic, have you actually watched this entire movie "backedup?" The reason I ask is because if you just ripped and encoded it, there still may be a problem. From what i've read, some scenes seem to repeat themselves because there is some type of seamless branching in that movie. If you just scanned through chapters, you wouldn't of noticed the problem. I hope you have watched the movie in it's entirety. Anyway, let me know. Thanks

I have an AMD XP 2200 with Windoz XP Pro and 512MB PC-2700 memory. It took 4 hours for the DVD2DVD-R portion including CCE.
The movie plays flawlessly. -
@joepic, thanks for the info. I am assuming the ONLY box out of the first four that you DIDN'T check was "linear quantizer scale," would that be correct? And then you checked forcefilm below the first four boxes, right? I am still using v.1.3.2., and I run my own pulldown afterwards, because you have to run two different pulldowns if you want subtitles. Anyway, did you choose the options I mentioned above? I'm glad it worked for you, I wonder why I have read an abnormal amount of posts regarding tricky seamless branching if the movie was setup the same way as many others. Thanks again

I have DVD2DVD-R loaded at my home computer so unable to reference exactly the buttons but yes I did check ForceFilm. I am using version 1.3.4. I do not do Subtitles, just the movie.
DVD2DVD-R is an EXCELLENT proggie and handles Minority Report without problems seamless branching or not!
Remember there are so many ways to accomplish the same thing when dupin' a movie. Everyone has there favorite procedure that has worked in the past. -
@ joepic, thanks again for the info. I actually read about that guide on that huge DVD2DVDR thread and the reason I haven't checked the linear quantizer scale box on ANY movie I have as of yet, is because that is supposed to be mainly for "interlaced" movies. If you select the help tab when you open up the DVD2DVDR application, and scroll down to the very bottom, Chat Walker tells you what options should be used for both progressive, and interlaced films. I have not seen ANY interlaced films as of yet, at least not completely interlaced. Most have been all progressive, of a hybrid of both, in which case I just select the first, second, and fourth boxes, and leave linear quantizer scale alone. If it works for you then I guess you should continue to use it. The only thing is that I have not had a single problem and my quality has been excellent, just like the original DVD when I follow the steps listed when clicking the help tab. Thanks again for the info. And after doing a little more research, I found out that the problems with Minority Report, were due to the "PAL" version and not the NTSC version. That is a relief.
