  1. Hi, I am trying to use either Smart ripper or DVD Decryptor to rip a movie that will fit on a DVD+R. I have read that I can use smart ripper or Decryptor to do this. I used to just use IFOEdit, but there is an authoring problem with certain films. Maestro works all the time, but it's more work. I am trying to get my .M2V and .AC3 files, so when I select a pgc with the main movie in Decryptor, I select the audio I want to retain, which is just English, and then I select the Subtitiles which I want to keep, which are English.

The problem is that I am getting several .M2V files instead of one. They list as NTSC/.M2V. I am getting like 3 or four. How can I just get 1 M2V FILE along with one .AC3 file. Note: When I use smartripper I am selecting the subtitles and audio I want to keep, along with the video, and then I select "demux to extra file." When I use DVD Decryptor, I select "demux". Is this correct? I would appreciate any info on this
    problem. Thanks

UPDATE: Thanks Max_Normal...the highlighting did the trick! I appreciate the help on that!

  2. Use Smartripper and click 'stream processing' tab.

Tick enable stream processing and de-select all so all boxes are blank.

Then tick the m2v usually top file, also tick AC3 file. Then highlight the m2v file by clicking on the name and select demux to extra file, then do same for AC3 file (highlight by clicking on filename once) then set to demux to extra file again.

Select destination, after ripping you will have AC3, M2V and a few empty vobs and an IFO file etc.

The problem I used to have was that I would check the file but not highlight it afterwards THEN select demux. You must tick the box THEN highlight it and set to demux. HTH.

  3. @ Max_normal, thanks for that info. I will try it out now. I hope it works. I did everything you said, but I didn't highlight either afterwards, so hopefully that is what it is. Thanks for the help
