I tried to play a few of my svcd's on this player that I just got and the movies were extremely choppy. Do I need to back the bitrate down a little bit? Any suggestions would be nice. It seems like a great player if I can just get svcd's to play properly on it. Plus, with it being a 5 disc changer, I won't have to get up to change the disc. It is supposed to be compatible with VCD and one guy says that his worked with a SVCD burned using Nero. I used Easy CD creator 5 with Daemon Tools to burn mine. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

I have this same player...and I too had the same problem. Then I found a guide ... How To play MPEG2(svcd) in Panasonic DVD Players ... apparently this is a variation of the VCD Header Trick I haven't tried the origonal header trick, but it should work. So...the player won't actually play SVCDs but it will play "MPEG2 VCDs"
