be sure to use tmpgenc 2.58, 2.59 has a bug when you make xvcd.

Baldrick, normally, VCDhelp doenst condone members to contact each other about getting older versions of software, but in this case, where the newer version just doenst work right, is it ok?

  7. wouldnt you have to make the quality bad so the mpeg file size is smaller to fit on 1 cd?

  9. it is indeed an xvcd and the bitrate you get is totally dependant on the length of the movie. some movies are slightly lower than standard vcd quality (1150kb/s) some are greater, and then you can split the movie in half in Tmpgenc and do a "two disc encode" using the 1 disc template, so getting near svcd quality. also if you're not too bothered about the audio being super high quality you can drop the audio bitrate and get more on the video bitrate.
