  1. I am currently downloading DTS and Digital introduction screens and would like to burn the to either a miniDVD or to a VCD/SVCD if possible. If it is possible to burn it to a VCD could you please explain how. I have Ulead DVD workshop but it does not recognise .vob files and would like to know how I can make a minDVD using .vob files. What software do I need to use?

  2. I don't think my DVD player is miniDVD compatible. It simply says that it is a CD and doesn't do anything.

So... is there anyway I can play .vob's on a standard VCD or SVCD? BUT keeping the same abilities. I still want to hear the sound effects?

  3. Is there no way of running a .vob file or keeping the same sound structure on a normal VCD/SVCD?

  4. Has anyone else had experience with minDVD's and the Pioneer DV454?

It is supposed to be really good and play anything. In the reviews someone has said that they don't work but I have read somewhere else that they do. The person who wrote that they don't didn't make any comments so could anyone please - who perhaps has a DV454 - pass any comments on miniDVD?
    Thanks

  5. You can convert the VOB files to SVCD MPEGs using something as simple as DVDx, but the sound will be converted to Dolby ProLogic, not Dolby Digital. The sound will be multi-channel, but not Dolby Digital.

By the way, the video will look just as good on your average television as it would from an actual DVD.

  6. If it is not possible to make a .vob file into a format (Which keeps the same visual and audio capabilities) and transfer it onto a VCD/SVCD then it is possible to rip the audio from a .vob file and save it to a DTS capable or DDigital .WAV file that can be read on an ordinary disk?
