  1. I ve read about 15 different tutorials and still don't have any id on how to keep the original DVD menu using DVD2DVD-R , DVD decrypter, DVD2AVI and IfoEdit. (I ve succes on doing backup without menu 7 times already.)

My guess is (from what I read):
1*Rip the full content of the DVD with DVD decrypter.
2*Check what vts the menu is in with DVD2AVI.
3*Use DVD2DVD-R to reduce size of main movie.
4*Author it to get it back in VOB file.
5*Rename the VOB only with the original VOB name.
6*Put all original files excepts the extra u don't want in a folder with the new main movie VOB files only not the new .ifo and bup files.
7* Do sumthing with IFOedit to correct the chapters and rewrite ifos correctly, get subtitles colors right then get vts

    So here are my questions:
    Am I right??
    If so:
In step 6 what files do I really need?? the new vobs only is my guess but might need the ifo and bup too
In step 7 what do I need to do (have no clue) to correct the chapters and stuff. ( i know how to get sub colors and vts sector)

    If not:
    How to do it, please.

  2. Hi

I only can keep menus when using DVDXCopy. Even when you split to two discs it keeps the menus on both...

  7. Hi,
Just use DVD2DVDR from the start... then just move the new vobs to the original DVD structure and use IFoUpdate to fix everything... I just back up my Macross II Movie DVD into (7.5gigs) into 1 DVD...

Just follow the instructions on this thread:
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124578

Then follow the last instructions on this one:
    http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/maestro2.htm

That should keep everything... even extras, etc.

Thx, i read the guide but since I want to record the whole thing on 1 dvd I wont use it.

For the movie guide, I used it to do my first DVD and it is a great one. (the guide not my DVD )
