  1. I burned the JPEG slide show into VCD using Nero 5.0 (drag & drop). I have the Sony DVD player, the disk can play no problem on this player, but this disk can not play on my other VCD player, the Nappa 311. By looking at the files in the disk, I see some slight different in the structure comparing to burning MPEG1 files into VCD (more single .DAT files for JPEG). Anyone know this is the cause or just the Nappa 311 itself ? Thanks in advance

  2. I've had a similar problem - burning jpegs with Nero 5.5 works fine on my Panasonic, but my son's RCA can't read it, even though they both read a movie encoded by TMPGenc and burned by a prior version of Nero. I've suspected that, since the RCA is one of those that is problematic with vcd, it is that the RCA can't handle the Nero menus and/or encoding. I've forgotten, does Nero 5.0 do menus like 5.5?

  3. Nero 5.5 does not do still menus properly which is why they don't work on some stand-alone players and many software players.

Your hardware is probably NOT at fault.

WinOnCD may be a better choice for "photo album" type VCDs.
