Hello,
I have some episodes of Anime in really good quality, but i was wondering if making them a DVD is even worth it? u know.. would it be better if i just convert the Divx to VCD instead of DVD.... i mean its not like i will gain more quality u know... just wondering what others thought about this.....
i mean by converting it to VCD will i lose quality? or making converting it to DVD would retain more... and if it would how much more u know? anyways, thanks for responces, I am interested to hear from anyone who might know this.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Basically, the only person who can answer this question is you. Only you know the quality of the source material, only you know what is acceptable final quality.
As a guide, if the divx's really are high quality DVD rips, converting them to VCD will probably reduce the quality. SVCD may be considered as a compromise solution if your DVD player supports it. DVD is obviously higher quality still but is it worth the effort? Only you can truly answer that.
Why not convert a small test clip to each of the 3 types, play them on your PC and see which you prefer/find most acceptable in terms of quality versus cost (time/effort etc). -
thanks for your thoughts, i finally gave in and made a DVD, but yeah u are totaly right about that... that makes the most sense.

I have found one compelling reason is compatability. DVD is the medium of choice with widest DVD player compatability and a bit more longevity than other formats.
