A while ago I bought a Ritek (i think) dvd+r 25 pack, unbranded. These things sat around for about a month or two before I got the drive. Now I come to find out that they dont work![]()
I have a ricoh 5125a dvd+r/w (writes up to 2.4x), and when i pop one in, it just becomes baffled, and stops responding (wont read the dvd). I bought a single tdk and it worked great. it also has no prob with +rw discs.
at least it wasnt the drive that was defective
My questions are: does anyone else have this drive or know some decent quality unbranded dvd+rs? Is Ritek usually unreliable? and should i just forfeit before going through so much crap itll make me sick and bite the bullet (just get dvd+rw discs)?
also, i read somewhere that meritline was selling a sampler pack, is that just for dvd-r or for dvd+r as well (i couldnt find it at meritline).
Thanx :P

Give Memorex DVD+R a try. If it works, you can still get a pack of 50 for $99 at Best Buy (slightly cheaper than Ritek, I believe)
