    Can I make a VCD using a CD burner or do I need a DVD burner to do this?

    For example, I have lots of .avi, .mpeg, .mpg, files on my computer and want to burn them onto a disk. Do I use my CD burner for this and use software like Nero?

    you dont need a dvd burner. i wouldnt use nero to do the encoding though. theres plenty of better freeware apps available through this site
