Is there a method or a roundabout way of converting my anime vob's to svcd, but with subtitles. I have had to convert them to mov, and then make the mpegs. Takes way too long. Please help.

there is a way--- and between myself and kaicherry we have found a way to sucessfully rip straight in the terminal from dvd - > divx/vcd/svcd with embedded subtitles. unfortunately with my current svcd tests (only one so far) the audio was not fully encoded and the sync was progressively worse throughout the conversion. -- but yes an option is becomming available. i dont want to have to convert to avi (UGH I HATE THAT FORMAT) as an intermediary before going to something thats actually good (svcd/vcd) just to get subtitles. ill keep everyone posted... its NOT a simple install and takes SOMEWHAT extensive unix knowledge. and i have no plans on making a simple gui for it even if i do get it workin cuz it involves decss and the last thing i need is the money grubbing worthless bastards in the MPAA breathing down my neck.
