Hi all,
I have had much success encoding DVD9 movies and recreating chapters in DVDMaestro using DVD2SVCD, but I would like to keep the menus for such titles as The Best Of Friends, The Sopranos and Band Of Brothers. I have read the guides here on how to keep the menus. For reference, I am trying to keep the menus with the Best Of Friends Disk 1. This disk contains 6 episodes of friends in one set of VOB files (VTS_01_01) for all 6 episodes and the menu's simply point to 6 chapters for each episode. So I transcoded the entire 2+hrs of the dvd and then compiled the AC3 and MPV in DVDMaestro. Then I copied the new vob files into the VIDEO_TS of the Friends DVD on my hard drive. Then I used IFOUpdate to patch the original IFO with the new IFO data, and then I hit correct VTS sectors. I opened up PowerDVD to play the new DVD5 version with the menus, and it loads 10 seconds of the video after it plays the nice WB splash screen and then abruptly cuts to the menus. So then I use the menus to navigate to a certain episode and click on it, but it does not go to the start of that episode, rather a random point in the video. The last 2 episodes do nothing when I select them, and the audio is out of sync on all of the video that does play. Any suggestions/ideas?
Thanks in advance...

Factoring the time encoding the movie I gave up and split it into 2 disc. I think you are having problems because of the PCGs. When I split it into two disc it kept everything including extras. I only ran into problems on the second season disc 2,3 and 4. For those one of the episodes on each of the disc was split. I guess its HBOs way of defeating copying.
