I'm having a really bizarre problem with each odd numbered episode of band of brothers. I am creating one episode per disk.
I am using IFOEdit to seperate the episodes (e.g. VOB 1 & 3 are episode 2, VOB 2 is episode 1).
I can watch the newly created images on IFOEdit, and I can play the subsequent DVD-R in my DVD-ROM without any problems (I burn with NERO). I can watch the movie, change audio and subtitle streams, and navigate chapters without any problems.
Once I take it to my stand alone, however, the DVD will play the first 2 chapters of episode 1, and then freeze. It plays episode 2 without any problems.
This also occurs with episodes 3, 5, 7, & 9. All of the other episodes work as intended.
I have an Apex AD 600a that has given me no problems, and has the most recent DVD-ROM firmware update. If it is the player, I think I'm just going to pony up and build a DVD player with a smal 1 Ghz I have lying around.
