guess am learning the hard way. encoded 22 files with cee and though i fed it with avisynth and resized it to svcd compliant res. i had the cee dvd compliant box checked and cee now added 120px on each side to make it 720x480.
is there a way to just crop off those 240px without reencoding those files? i think i have an avisynth script that would work but do i feed it now to cee again? that would reencode it and reduce quality wouldnt it?
is there another way?

I do not believe there is a way to crop or chop off the extra rez without reencoding(and yes there will be loss, albiet a small one by reencoding).
I am presuming this is a DVD rip, why don't you try DVD2SVCD (link to it is on the left under tools). It is a very easy all in one tool (except for CCE or TMPGENC which you already have) that takes all the guess work and "oops!" out of ripping DVD's. Just a suggestion. If you decide to go that route, look for a user called "baker", he has an easy to use visual guide that walks you through the set up.
