  3. Hey!
In SVCD standard you can put only MPEG Multichannel audio or MPEG1 stereo file up to 384 kbps. Remember that only the highest bitrate allows the acceptable quality with MPEG 5.1. I have couple of SVCD's recorder with MPEG 5.1 but all are 384 kbit/s and even than sometimes one can hear "compression" in signal. In 192 kbps there is unacceptable sound.
You cannot put DTS or AC3 sound to SVCD stream. I made some tests and: AC3 and DTS multiplexed with TMPEGenc is recognized by my player (Grundig Xenaro) as MPEG 5.1 and there is a silence. PowerDVD recognizes AC3 and.. plays it!
Remember either that only few DVD players accept MPEG 5.1 stream in SVCD stream. And, of course, a few amplituners decode this stream.
To encode AC3 direct without vision you can use Besweet with GUI (try search in download section).
    Best regards,
