  1. OK guys, here's my setup and situation. I like to make recap videos of my sim racing league races since it doesn't export to AVI. I have 2 computers. The capturing computer has an ATI All In Wonder 7500 video card, and the sending computer has an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro.

What I do is connect the S-Video cable from TV-Out on the 9700 to S-Video in the AIW 7500. Right now I'm getting interlacing artifacts big time. How can I set it up so it doesn't capture interlaced? I'm using the MMC software from ATI to capture and capturing to AVI. When setting up the capture settings, I don't have an option to capture in composite mode.

These videos will only be used on computers.

    HELP!

I see your problem, it's weird there is a deinterlace option when capturing to MPEG, but the option does not exist with AVI. You may want to consider VirtualDub either as a capture/editing program (it works fine on an ATI AIW Radeon 7500 with the "Wrapper", I have one too), or just to deinterlace after you have captured. It works great for me. I don't even use the MMC anymore, I use VirtualDub exclusively.

  3. Yea, right now I'm using the De-Interlace filter in VirtualDub on my captures. I tried the BLEND option but I found it made things blurry, and then I tried removing Field B option which shrinks the vertical in half, then applied the resize filter to get back my 640x480. But I find that causes aliasing because of the stretching of the vertical.
