I would be interested in any answers to this question. Im trying to join a 4 disk svcd into two parts so that i can put it onto dvd. Unfortunately the audio is always out of sync. Is there any software that is capable of this? so far ive tried MPEG2VCR, TMPGenc, M2 edit pro. All have failed miserably.
TIA -
Have you tried a good video editor? Ulead mediastudio pro or videostudio or adobe premiere? Ulead has trials at www.ulead.com to see if it works.

I was just reading about placing SVCD onto a DVDr and it mention something about audio being out of sync if you use TMPGenc and its audio converter. The guide suggests that you use a external frequency converter called SSRC to fix the sync problem. I believe your method will work it just needs a little tweaking. Let me know if it works!

Join the 2 mpegs with TMPG, then extract the WAVS from each part so you have 2 individual wav files (after you demultiplex, you can convert the MP2s to WAVs in Winamp), then go into an application that'll let you edit audio. I just used Adobe Premiere. I just throw the WAV files in there back to back and saved it as one big WAV, then added it to the joined MPEG. Voila.

You can do it using Ulead Media Studio 6.5
Its a simple drag and drop then create-video
Im not sure if im doing it correctly but there is definately no audio sync problems BUT it takes ages to complete the process. Approx 3.5 hours to do 2x 45min clips into one 90min clip.
Please note: This was a really high quality SVCD and that may have something to do with it. Its a 3hour film which is currently on 4svcd's. Im hoping to get it down to 2 x DVD-r's
