  1. They will work in dvd players that can play vcds? i am selling vcds and i have no way to test if they actually work or not. They work in power dvd but will power dvd play them if they wont work? the menus and everything work fine in power dvd im just worried that power dvd will play them even if they are screwed up, and i will have to refund alot of money.

I am burning with nero on one of my vcds. and it says streaming which is not used for vcd. I clicked turn of standard compliance and continue, burned the vcd, and it works in power dvd. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks in advance.

just because they play on your pc -- doesnt mean at ALL that they will play on a standalone player .. if you are selling vcd's ... you should insure you test whatever you are making on a number of players .. at least 4 -6 brands ...

Ill go to a friends house and test them out first then. I thought powerdvd would only play them if they worked as real vcds.

  4. Someone may have a standalone DVD player that will play VCD's but will not play CDR's. If this is the case even if the VCD is made correctly, the DVD player won't play it.

  5. Simple answer, no.

I've burned a few VCDs in VCDEasy and created ISO images to be burn by Easy CD creator. They burned without a hitch. I tested them with PowerDVD and there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. I then tested them on my 2 Sony DVD player and they didn't work. Out of curiosity I went to my friend's house to test them on his Apex DVD player and they worked without PBC.

It's not guaranted to work if PowerDVD recognize the disk.

I since learned how to burn my VCDs properly through ASPI drivers with VCDEasy software. Even Nero will do it, but there's not that much control over the content as you have with VCDEasy.
