I have a Pioneer DVR104, and it has been working great. I had to run a DOS acoustic management utility for my Seagate hard drive. Somewhere along the way, it has affected my DVR-104. My computer BIOS now sees it as a "QIONEES EVE-SW! EVS-105 ! !" not a PIONEER DVD-RW. Obviously, the Seagate utility corrupted my firmware. If I try to run Pioneer's flash utility now, it stops, because it cannot find the 104. Do I have to send this back to the factory, or does anyone know of a utility that will go ahead and flash the firmware without the check for an existing valid drive? At least... that's what I think I need. I'd appreciate anything anyone can come up with, and thank you in advance.
