  1. Do you tell the difference between the fast (low quality), normal, or slow (high quality) when I encode the .mpg file which was captured at 352x480 from VHS tape? I have lost 14 frames size when capturing at 1 hrs 25 mins. I would like to convert into DVD-720X480. TMPGenc will run much longer if I use the high quality so will normal or low quality hurt the quality of video after encoding?

Would like to hear your input.

Thanks and am looking forward burning my first DVD since I bought the A105 DVD drive. :D

Yes, there is a noticable difference. High quality is probably what you want to use most of the time.

You also might want to consider leaving your video at 352x480 for DVD, as I recall this is a valid NTSC resolution. Resizing it to 720x480 won't make it look any better and will make the encode take longer.
