DVD2SVCD can you burn the output to DVD????

Sorry if this is a stupid Question but I'm a pure Noob...

I wan to back up a DVD to SVCD and I've seen DVD2SVCD
when it's finished backing up the DVD can I burn it to a DVD rather than 2 or more CD's.... Also if its possiable can I burn two movies to the same DVD if there's room..... Please I need help.... My two year old daughter is making good work of my Originals

use dvd2dvdr instead or you can use dvd2svcd fine IF you change the bitrate outut and set size to 720 x 480 instead of 480 x 480 , also audio leave at 48khz (acually just use the ac3 file as is)..

select do not make images .. and keep all files.. .. and then you will have a completed m2v file and a ac3 file you can use in a authoring program ..

prob dvd2dvdr is easier though ive never used it ..
