    I have just bought a new dvd player, as stated its a Philips DVD616k, in the manual it states it supports selectable subtitles for svcd, so far I havent gotten a working selectable subtitle.

    In one of the dvd reviews here about this player it states that it doesnt recognise the first subtitle stream, so I tried placing 2 on the disk and also I tried placing 1 set in the second stream using WinSubMux, neither of these have worked for Me. Ive tried using both cvd and svcd subtitles within DVD2SVCD and no joy so far.

    Anyone have this dvd player, or similar within the philips line who has succefully produced working selectable subtitles for SVCD or CVD, and how Please
