Ive been having problems with this curtain Avi (8 legged freaks) which is in Xvid codec. When i split it in half the video and audio are in sync but after i encode to pal vcd with TMPGEnc the audio and video are totally out of sync.
what can i do to fix this problem?, is there any other encoder i could use that would do a good job?

did you try following this xvid to vcd guide? changing your settings helps the audio -
8 Legged fraks has some glitchy frames in it which would cause the audio to go out of synch. I ran it through AVIFixed (Tools section at http://www.divx-digest.com) and that solved the problem (for me, anyway)
