  1. I just bought the Apex Combo TV / DVD GT2015DV. I have had a very hard time trying to get vcd's to work in it. Everyone I make say in the dvd player that there is no disc. SVCD work fine in it. Anyone else having this problem and also does anybody know how to fix this issue?

  4. Just because it can play VCD does not necessarily mean it can play SVCD. Apex removed VCD support from their players too keep costs down. I think if a manufacturer makes a player that plays VCD they have to pay Phillips a licensing fee, as Phillips own the rights to the VCD format. However, if it says in the literature that it should play VCD then it is not unreasonable to expect it to do so. I suspect you may have a new player with an older manual, as the older players would have probrably supported VCD.
