  1. I'm gonna put one of my dvds on dvdr but don't think all the extras will fit even after stripping unwanted audio and subs from main film.
If I just want to keep the main film and the main menu with chapter selection, do I have to rip the whole dvd then strip the audio and subs and then just put the vts(menu) files and Vobs(movie) in a folder and burn back with nero?
If I do what will happen when a selection is made on the menu that doesnt exist eg extras?
Will it cause the dvdplayer to constantly search the disc or lock up etc?

    Sorry for being so dumb

Well my DVD player displays an error message and goes back to the power on screen and I have to press play to load the disc again. I guess that what happens will depend on what the manufacturers decided should happen when the sw detects a 'fatal' error so your player my behave differently.

  3. Is there a way to tell the player if this extra is selected to loop back to the start of the menu or some other function that will stop the crash

As I said, its down to the manufacturer what it does in this kind of situation. I doubt if any allow the user to specify what should happen.

  5. What I meant was is there a way in Ifoedit to change to point on the disc that the menu request looks for.
Therefore pointing to the extras would start the film or start the menu again etc?

  6. in this forum go to: DVD RIP. Then look for DVD 2 DVDR for Dummies
