I just installed my new Cendyne Dvr-104 dvd-rw drive into my dell windows xp computer. It said that it found the new drive but the computer runs VERY slowly and the mouse is delayed. I disabled the drive and the computer worked fine again so it must be a problem with the drive. Should I update the firmware? Where can I download version 1.31? Thanks for your help!

make sure you have DMA enabled on that IDE channel that you connected the drive to.

Dma is enabled. I tried disableing my cd-rw drive and then the dvd-rw works. They both work individually but not together.
