    i have a video file(avi i think) and when using the source button to chop some unwanted sceen out i get just a black screen no matter where in the movie i put the cursor but i get volume and when i do a convert i still get black but if i watch the original in movie player it is fine. the specs are audio mepg 3 abd video is mpeg4

    you're missing a codec, get the NIMO CODEC PACK you'll find under the TOOLS section of this site
