  1. Hi,

I have just bought a SONY DRU-500A DVD Writer.
So now I am anxious to get started.

But I am having trouble to get my burnt DVD discs work on at standalone DVD player.

I have tried to backup Bad Boys (PAL) using DVD Decrypter and IFO edit. And burning it with NERO.

I can make the disc work in Power DVD on my computer, with subtitles and everything.
But when I tries on my standalone (Pioneer DVD-E525 and Sony Playstation 2) they both report “NO DISC”

I have tried with the Sony DVD+RW that came bundled with the drive and HP DVD+R discs.

  2. its because your stand alone dvd player dosen't support dvd+rw. click on dvd players on the left of the screen and look up your dvd player to see what format it will play.......

  3. Yes I have already looked at the list, and it seems like both the PS2 and my Pioneer should be able to read the DVD+RW ??

Ghost I can se on your profile that you have a DV-525 also.
Which media do you use with succes ??

You could also try to burn with some other tool than nero. Or try burn in udf 1.02 mode with nero.

  8. I have tried the DVD Bitsetter program but was unable to make it work.

But I have just tried a HP DVD+R disc in my Playstation 2 with succes.

I used DVD Decrypter, IFOEdit 0.95 and IMGTool (from Doom9.org)

    No more Nero for me
