TMPGEnc says "if you have a widescreen movie and you want it to be fullcreen no borders select No margin keep aspect ratio Tmpgenc will cut it". How the hell do you find out if it is a widescreen movie??

you shouldn't worry about it... Its your TV that is more important(allthough it really isnt THAT important)
best settsfor me allthough)
VIDEO ARRANGE METHOD: FULL SCREEN (KEEP ASPECT RATIO)
ASPECT RATIO: 4:3 625 LINE(704 X 567, PAL)
Pal or NSTC or dependant from where u live..Wanne earn something a couple of dollars?

I have a widescreen tv that supports 16:9 which setting should i use to get rid of the borders ??
I tried "source aspect ratio - 16:9 525 line NTSC and Full screen keep aspect ratio" . I live in a PAL country but i got sync problems when i frameserve from NTSC to Pal so i go along with NTSC and adjust my dvd player to NTSC instead of palMaybye this is why i got the borders. Haven't tried the option "use no borders TMPGEnc will cut it " though....
I have tried every zoom option i got on my tv, but still borders on movies that suppose to be in widescreen... -
Is there anybody who uses this option when encoding SVCD and have a widescreen tv???? ....."If you have a widescreen movie and you want it to be fullscreen(no borders) select instead No margin(keep aspect ratio) and TMPGenc will cut it."....
