  1. i downloaded a high quality avi file. i tried to encode it to mpeg 2 using tmpeg. after it had finished there was no sound, so i decompressed the audio using avi2vcd pcm decompressor. i tried again and it was fine. i then aurthored it using ulead moviefactory and burnt it off.but the audio on the dvd is totally out of sync.where have i gone wrong?

  2. Did you decompress it at the 48000hz sample rate?

  5. i did what it said on the link but it is still a split second out of sync-but its still alot better

  7. i watched the film last night and it started a split second out of sync but got worse towards the end.the problem is once i have encoded it to mpeg2 it plays fine on the pc. it is when i have authored it(if i open the vob you can see it running out of sync) could it be the authoring tool?i use ulead movie factory. what do you use? do you download avi and convert it to dvd?

  8. I do AVI to MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 using TMPGE.
    Works great for me.
    I always extract the WAV first and use as Audio Source for encoding.
    I use VCDEASY for authoring.
    Again,terrific results....250 full movies and counting.
    Try this if you are having a gradual sync problem.

    (ps-i know you would rather get it right the first time without having to do this ,but at least this is an alternative)
