  1. I have 352x288 avi's which i want to encode and burn in to VCD. When i follow instructions everything works except the quality is pretty bad when watching VCD on TV

  2. Well if the videos are already 352x288 and the quality is bad, it's not going to get any better.

    Remember, the newly created VCD will never look better than the source AVI. It'll look almost the same if you use TMPGEnc as that yields the highest quality. (And it's free! )

    So, in closing, use the highest quality settings in TMPGEnc to get the best quality. (But remember this is VCD, it's shit compared to DVD)

    well it depends on your tv.

    if you have like a 19 inch tv, vcd is gonna be fine.

    if you have a 64 inch tv, everythin is gonna look bad except dvd.
