  1. After converting avi to vcd i decided to make a menu to the vcd.
After searching a program i found Ulead DVD factory, there i tryed to add a mpeg file- i added the vcd movie that i converted from avi and it gave me this msg: "F/DVD/part1.mpg is not a compliant MPEG file plz select vcd/svcd/dvd compliant mpeg file.
When i tryed to add a MPEG file that wasnt VCD nor was converted from avi it accepted it.

i dont know what to do this is so annoying.
    any1 can help me plz?
    thx DesperaDo
    p.s.
i used TMPGEnc program to convert the avi to MPEG VCD format.

  2. Unfortunatly MovieFactory only accepts mpeg-1 320x240 files,in TMPGEnc
don't use the Wizard and select those settings(instead of VCD)and also choose "MPEG-1(automatic)"in Settings>System.

Sorry to disagree, but DVD MovieFactory definitely uses 352x240 for VCD.

In TMPGENc, make sure you load your avi, then pick the template (like VCD template). If you do it the other way around (load template then avi) the setup will change to the avi frame size which probably isn't VCD compliant.

Demux the audio from your AVI using Vdub, save it as a .wav file, then load the AVI into TMPEGnc then choose the extracted wav file as your audio, then load the proper Template for your AVI in TMPEGnc.

Encode a clip for about 2 mins or so then stop TMPEGnc, then try the small sample in Ulead DVD Movie factory to see if it loads it up.

If it still hasn't worked, uninstall Ulead and then reinstall, also make sure you have the latest patch's installed for ulead which are on there website.
