  1. i was wondering if anyone else has seen this before, whenever i try to encode any mpeg 2 file the program go into error with windows xp professional. i try to open the file to encode and boom up pops th error report window asking me if i want to send a report. the usual size is 480x480 if this helps tyring to convert to 720x480. also when i mux an m2v file and an m2a file together it comes out absolutely huge like almost a gig and a half for an hour program,whats up with that??? please help and thanx

    As TMPGEnc can't open MPEG2 natively, it must be something related to the mpeg2 decoder installed in your system. AFAIK, if you have PowerDVD installed (trial version's fine) TMPGEnc can open MPEG2. You may have a decoder that TMPGE somehow thinks it can use, but actually has some trouble with.
    Depending on bitrate, 1.5 GB for 1 hr of MPEG2 doesn't seem that far off the mark...

  3. hmmmm i have powerdvd xp installed but it wonder if maybe i should uninstal and then reinstall it with tmpgenc already on the pc,it was already existing when i installed tmpgenc.
