  1. I'm trying to rip a DVD using SmartRipper 2.41 and it says that there is no DVD. I am able to play the DVD in my Toshiba SD1200, but Windows doesn't recognize the DVD in Windows Explorer, PowerDVD states "No DVD," vStrip says "No DVD," ADVDInfo says "ASPI Command Returned, Sensekey 02h; ASC 06h; ASCQ 00h", and SmartRipper as I previously mentioned. I have ASPI version 4.71.2 installed. I have no idea what to do.

  3. hey, that happens sometimes...i just bought a new artec dvd-rom...it reads almost everything, but there are certain movies it just doesn't recognize, while my other dvd-rom does...so, it could just be your dvd-rom

did you try it on a friend's dvd-rom and c if it works??

  4. Has to be your DVD-rom dude. I suggest trying to borrow someone elses DVD-rom. Short of buying a different one. I had that same problem with Superman 2. Really ticked me off until I used another DVD-rom reader.

  5. I think I found out the problem. My DVD-ROM, a Hitachi GD-5000, can not read +R's or +RW's and I know the DVD is burnt. Is there anyway to tell if it's a +R or +RW? The bottom is purple.

  8. Sorry. I thought of that when I made my second post. I was originally thinking it was some super secret protection mechanism, but then I thought it was burnt by a school, and they aren't rich.
