to retain quality close to that but on a dvd? I have tried the half disk mpeg2 352x576 @2400kbs, the quality is ok but I would like to make it a but higher if it is possible, preferably svcd pal. Is this possible?
Thanks

Yes, but it might not work as DVD's don't consider SVCD's on DVD-R's standard. CVD's will work because of the 1/2 DVD resolution (352x480) which is compliant when storing them on DVD-R.
Hope That Helps!!! :P
